Do your spices contain gluten, dairy, or soy?
No! We only use herbs and spice in their pure form. We also minimally use French sea salt and monk fruit sweetener in some blends. None of our spices contain fillers of any kind.
What do you recommend we use your spices on?
Anything! While our spices are created to be perfect for certain dishes, they are also very versatile! We love to see people using our blends to add another level of flavor to their favorite dishes. Feel free to be creative!
What is the shelf life of your spices?
While spices don't expire, they can get old or stale. Once whole spices are ground, they begin releasing the oils that give them their flavor. We bottle them in glass jars to ensure those flavors are contained, but they will dissipate over time. We recommend replacing your spices around 1 year.
Do you use any fillers?
No! All of our blends are 100% ground spices only. If they have not been used for awhile, you may need to give them a good shake, but we think it's worth it! Also, because our blends haven't been sitting in a warehouse or on a shelf for months or years, it's not needed!
Why are your spices more expensive than what I find in the grocery store?
Most spice blends are salt or sugar based, because it's cheap! You are basically paying for expensive salt. For instance, a 25lb bag of salt costs $10, while a 25 lb bag of nutmeg cost $450! While we do use sea salt in our blends, it is used sparingly. Our spices are also ground to order in small batches instead of a large factory. You also aren't paying for sawdust (cellulose) or other fillers! (Yes, they do that.)
