This may be one of the simplest recipes you'll ever make, but we promise it will impress. The secret is all in the technique (and the spices, of course). The browned butter method will caramelize the green beans without taking away from their bright flavor. Tender and crunchy, this will be your new go-to special event recipe, and possibly your favorite weeknight vegetable.
Ingredients:
2 T butter
1 lb green beans, fresh or frozen
1 T French Countryside
Salt to taste
This recipe is really all about the cooking technique. Start by placing your green beans in a hot pan, we recommend cast iron. Then, salt the beans. Next, you'll add about 3 tablespoons of water to give them a quick steam. Once the water evaporates, add the butter and French Countryside. Let the beans continue to cook until they begin to blister in spots, and you smell that nutty aroma from the butter. Don't worry about burning. The green beans produce enough moisture as long as they are properly salted to prevent that. Simply plate and enjoy!
